Parents’ Guide to Help Children Succeed in the IISER Aptitude Test
IAT PREPARATION
With over 1.5 lakh students attempting IAT 2025 and the number expected to grow, confusion is the last thing an aspirant needs. Many students waste months worrying about eligibility, subject requirements, or whether their board percentage is enough. The reality is that most of these confusions have simple answers once the rules are understood.
Eligibility is clear: 60% in Class 12 for General/OBC-NCL, 55% for SC/ST/PwD. PCB students can apply, but they should plan for the math section strategically. PCBM students are welcome at IISER, though IISc may not be an option. The exam itself is balanced across Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
By clearing these doubts early, aspirants can focus on preparation instead of second-guessing themselves. The rising competition in IAT means clarity and confidence are just as important as knowledge. The sooner these questions are settled, the stronger the preparation journey becomes.
